Don’t let any one release fool you; these guys are all over the map. Soft and introspective or brash and obscure, Presenting the Cycles of is an ongoing collaboration that hopes to touch upon several styles. Their first e.p., Lonely Nights, is a mellow affair with subdued vocals over quiet guitars and complemented with just the right touch of keys. For all you unrequited lovers out there, take a copy to that special someone who never gave you a first thought.
Supernatural Affairs
True to their relaxed aesthetic, PtCo took their time releasing EP #2, Supernatural Affairs. Actually completed back in 2008, it has mysteriously and shamefully remained on the shelf until now. The (mostly) full band approach in this five song collection reflects the previous release, Lonely Nights, in moody quality, while turning that quieter, more contemplative set on its ear. And while they promise that the next release will come out a bit quicker…don't hold them to that.
